Woman banned from national parks during 2-year probation for defacing rock formations

A women defaced a number of national parks and is having to pay the consequences. She is banned for 2 years from visiting any of our national parks.

Our natural places should be available for all to see, enjoy and respect. We should all be able to participate in nature without being forced to see results of someone else’s view of what is art.

This women, who fancies herself an artist, has robbed others of the chance to see an undisturbed view of nature. These damaged sites are now less vibrant. Something real, something pure has been damaged for all future visitors.

I really appreciate how the Boy Scouts of America teach outdoor ethics with the outdoor code which states:

As an American, I will do my best to –
Be clean in my outdoor manners.
Be careful with fire.
Be considerate in the outdoors.
Be conservation minded.

This pledge should be something we all need to take!
